1956 The development came to a crucial point: Plastic foils instead of rubber were used. Thereby, the entire production technique had to be shifted again. Different areas for the drawing, screen-printing and synthetic deformation had to be equipped. Due to this new technique, production numbers and quality multiplied.
1969 The company moved into the new building in Porta Westfalica and the companies name was changed into Relief-Technik. The longstanding development of the relief globe began, that means, extracts were drawn, moulds made, and various tests made.1982 The management was passed on to Ernst Knolls daughter Irmela and son-in-law Hermann Muermann. With this generation change the company Relief Technik was passed on to the Geo-Institut. In the following years, the development of relief globes was continued and lead to success. The overall development time until todays state of the art lasted for more than a decade. 1993 The drawing, which was done only analogue up to that time, was computerised.
A photo laboratory, which was equipped allowed for the production of topographic maps of districts, as well as, municipalities in a limited edition and even as unique copies.
